Making walking & cycling more attractive to more people

Derwent Room, Trinity Centre Gosforth High Street, Newcastle, United Kingdom

Talk and discussion with Tom Bailey, author of the Garden City Guide to Active Travel  Tom is a consultant chartered surveyor advising property companies on regeneration and new developments. He previously led the North East England infrastructure delivery programme for sustainable transport charity Sustrans. He will share his thoughts on what new housing developments can and should be doing to contribute to sustainable travel in new and existing areas. This is particularly appropriate with the concerns expressed about the recently announced developments to the north of Gosforth. We'll discuss if there is anything we can apply to Gosforth and how we can make walking and cycling more attractive to more people. Please let us know by email (spaceforgosforth@gmail.com) or via the facebook event post if you are coming just so we know how many people to expect. Many thanks!
