    A talk and discussion with Professor Mark Tewdwr-Jones, professor of town planning at Newcastle University. Newcastle University has led the Newcastle City Futures project consulting with residents and stakeholders to develop three scenarios for how the city might look in 50 years time. The scenarios consider how transport and planning, ageing and health, the urban and natural environment, the economy and growth can shape the future of the city.   • Public Meeting – Air pollution in Gosforth: causes, effects, and solutions

    A meeting jointly-organised by SPACE for Gosforth and the Tyne and Wear Public Transport Users Group, with presentations by Professor Margaret Bell and Dr Anil Namdeo of Newcastle University. The meeting will address the problem of air pollution in Gosforth, discuss the causes of this pollution, the health effects on the people who live, work, and shop in our local area, and the ways we might address this big problem as a community.
